I suggest we move forward on this one! Polygon zkEVM has recently gained momentum and there are potential integrations which could be useful to leverage for agEUR there (on DEXes like DoveSwap, or Quickswap).
Recently, the deployments on Gnosis Chain and Celo lead to some interesting traction with many users natively using agEUR without any protocol incentive of any form.
The amount of agEUR holders on these chains are higher than what we’ve got everywhere else. It’s probably bots, but still a good feature to showcase for us.
This is something that can be permissionlessly done by anyone, so we’ve deployed a version of agEUR and LayerZero bridge contracts on Polygon zkEVM (addresses here), with as owners governor and guardian multisig with the same signatories as what we have on mainnet. The scripts and repo that were used are this one.
To proceed further, we’d need a governance vote to make this implementation the canonical implementation for agEUR on the chain and to enable bridging from Polygon zkEVM to all other compatible chains.
Note that adding support to Polygon zkEVM comes with the risk of increasing the exposure of the protocol to bridge and chain hack (even though it’s unlikely that LayerZero gets hacked on like PolygonZkEVM but not Polygon).
